Post Election Blues

It seems Mrs. Obama told people to go out and vote yesterday then indulge themselves in some fried chicken.  In her honor:

The sounds not that great, but how can you go wrong with the late, great John Lee Hooker?  Boom.

I didn't get enough.  Roll on, Aretha!

  1. On a related note, I didn't vote for the Libertarian, who I didn't really like. So I went full nut-job-fringe for the first time with a write in.

Seriously, if I knew it would have been that close, which the polls did not indicate for months, I would have voted for Gillespie... maybe. He still was not my kind of Republican.

Waiting to be disappointed with the new Senate starting in 2015. Heck, maybe even before then.

  2. Given what we've seen in the past, I don't see how we can take them too seriously.

I am not watching or listening to Obama's press conference, but feedback from those who are has him sounding maybe a little out of touch.

Congress can completely shut him down, and that is exactly what they need to do. Listen to the voters not the media. Do your job.

I won't be holding my breath.

  3. By the way, I think you still made the right decision on Gillespie. We need more lunatic-fringe more than we need more cowbell.

  5. That's rather disconcerting, Jamie. I hope you and yours are not near that area and are safe.

  6. Nothing's happening, that's the problem...

We need to get on top of this while there are only 90 or so fighters ISIS fighters, we already got 20 in Syria...

Our politicians only want to pass a beefed up patriot act,
Stop the jihadis from leaving the country,
    Send the SAS to Iraq,
    Change the flag,
Sign away our sovereignty aka TPPA
    And ban fireworks

    :(

Talk about bollocks, go all the way to another country to kill ISIS when they are a protected species in NZ

    FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
