I picked this up via Cool Tools.

Looking at the tools will lead you to something like this -- weldingweb.com -- where you can see step-by-step how to build something -- like a heavy-duty vise from scrap.

Worth a look.

Nice links and a nice vice! Can't wait to finish the fencing project so I can spend some time back in the shop which, as of today, is completely stuffed to the point of dysfunctionality.
